My name is Khaled Farek. I'm a Software Engineer turned Motion Graphic Designer and Illustrator, specializing in fintech and software marketing . I transform complex ideas into captivating visuals that are easily digestible for a normal user, helping market your Web3 projects effectively.
Although I began working in motion graphics in 2020, I already had over four years of experience in design and videography. That year, I discovered my passion for animation, marking the beginning of my journey. Here's what I've accomplished so far:
Influence Media is a Web3 marketing agency, where I work as a design generalist alongside an incredible team. My focus is on motion design and illustrations for Web3 clients, translating complex concepts into engaging visuals. To create compelling content for crypto audiences, I ensure a deep understanding of the technology, making it more accessible and visually captivating.
As ila26 is an ERP designed for professionals in the French energy sector, I was hired to familiarize myself with the software and create engaging content for its launch. My role involved producing animations, explainer videos, Lottie animations, and editing videos for social media and various distribution channels.
I took a six-month career break to focus on my computer science degrees, during which I completed two theses and graduated in July with a master's and an engineering degree—both with excellent marks. My research centered on developing a mobile app that assists children with Autism Spectrum Disorder using AI, where I implemented three Machine Learning and Deep Learning models.
Having two computer science degrees might seem unusual for a Motion Graphic Designer, but in my experience, clients and employers in the tech industry have always found my technical background valuable. Understanding their technologies and subject matter allows me to create highly effective explainer videos, animated courses, and marketing content that truly resonates with their audience.
Composable Finance is a pioneering company in the blockchain industry, driving multiple projects that are shaping the future of the field. Initially, it was incubated by Advanced Blockchain, which led me to work for both companies simultaneously for five months. When Composable Finance completed Advanced Blockchain’s program in June, I was selected to transition fully to their team and join an incredible group of innovators.
My responsibilities remain the same as they were at Advanced Blockchain AG, but what I truly enjoy here is the creative freedom—we're encouraged to push boundaries and explore bold ideas. This role has also been instrumental in teaching me how to collaborate effectively within a team and has given me insight into the structured workflows of established companies.
Advanced Blockchain AG is a publicly listed investor, incubator, and partner in the blockchain industry, driving innovation by developing and supporting cutting-edge projects. I worked in the marketing department as part of the multimedia team, creating teaser videos, hype content, and explainer videos for both the company and the projects it incubated.
Beyond video production, my role extended to anything animation-related, from motion graphics to special projects like designing icons and JSON animations for websites. This experience allowed me to contribute creatively across different mediums while supporting the company’s marketing efforts.
This was an incredible experience—I took on this project as a freelancer and worked on it for over three months!Dhaki.fr is a France-based e-learning company that produces computer science courses in French. I was approached to create a complete CSS3 course, where I was given the visual identity, script, and voiceovers for 38 videos, each ranging from 5 to 8 minutes in length.
My responsibilities included:
- Character animation to bring concepts to life.
- In-depth explanatory segments to simplify complex theoretical aspects.
- Coding animations that visually demonstrated how to write code and the output of each line.
- Sound design and video editing to ensure a polished final product.
Delivering such a large volume of content in a short timeframe was a major challenge, but it taught me how to work efficiently, develop reusable templates, and maintain high-quality standards even under intense pressure.
This was my first full-time job in the field, and it was a pivotal experience for me. I worked for a small production company in my city, specializing in 2D animation and motion graphics. My role involved creating animated videos and complementary elements for various projects the company was producing at the time.
In addition to animation, I gained hands-on experience in sound engineering and video editing. One of the most exciting aspects of this job was the opportunity to work with Echourouk Online, one of Algeria’s major news outlets. Through this collaboration, I produced 1-2 videos every day to cover breaking news, which pushed me to work efficiently and deliver high-quality content under tight deadlines.
Here is a selection of the best projects I made:
It's true that I have 5 years of professional work experience, but I've been an artist my whole life!
I share my personal artworks and animations on my Instagram account, so I'm in a constant state of improving my craft, here are some:
