In this project, I went for a bold idea.
When I was approached by Composable finance to create an explainer video for their picasso project, I could have went for a normal idea to explain what picasso is and what it does, but that would have been boring, and it wouldn't have the same impact. I didn't want something forgettable.
Representing the blockchain as a hand, and picasso being one of its layers, my hand was the central piece of the video.
I started by filming my hand doing different movements against a green screen, and then going for a monotone grey look in post production.
Here is a side by side comparison of the videos i filemd of my hand, and the final result:
in addition to that, the video included som frame by frame animations, and som 3D models animated on blender as well, and incoporated in the video to fit the same aesthetic of the video.
This by far was the most fun, exciting video I have ever made, not limiting myself by explainer video norms was the best decision, not knowing what the final results will look like made me work even harder on it.
My name is Khaled Farek, and I am a motion graphic designer and an animator, working closely with businesses and projects to create animated videos for marketing reasons, or purely creative ones.
I have an Engineering and a Master's degree in Computer science, but I decided to continue working in the thing I'm passionate about, everything MOTION!
My goal is to perfect my animation skills using different mediums, and to eventually collaborate with studios and animators and have the ability to work on bigger projects and films.
